Natural ways for promoting prostate health

Natural ways for promoting prostate health

Natural ways for promoting prostate health 1080 1080 Abbe Lang

Prostate cancer is one of the leading causes of death, especially among men, worldwide. In this sense, being a male is one of the risk factors for developing prostate cancer. Other risk factors associated with prostate cancer include body inactivity, obesity, increased height, old age, and a family history of cancer. While it is impossible to decide your DNA or genetic line to prevent prostate cancer, there are several natural ways to promote your prostate health.

One of the natural ways of promoting prostate health and preventing cancer is eating a healthy and balanced diet. Notably, understanding how a healthy diet promotes prostate health is crucial to understanding how different diets lead to cancer. For instance, diets with high amounts of the wrong saturated fats (trans fats) and inorganic milk products tend to increase the risk for prostate cancer. In this sense, it is crucial to eat diets that balance the rations of these products at various mealtimes. In addition, fish consumption has also been cited as a factor that lowers prostate cancer deaths.

The other natural way of lowering the risk of contracting prostate cancer is reducing your body mass index or, put simply, maintaining a healthy body weight. Obesity and no exercise are factors that increase prostate cancer risks. This is because obesity increases inflammation and abnormally high levels of insulin, as well as sex hormone growth. The best way to maintain a healthy weight is by observing a healthy whole foods meal plan and exercising at least 3 to 5 times per week.

Body inactivity increases insulin resistance, increasing blood sugar levels and body inflammation. These factors are responsible for increasing prostate cancer risks which call for the need for regular body activity to lower weight. A study by the World Cancer Research unveiled that, of all the cancer diagnoses in the U.S., 18% of them are linked to body fatness and physical inactivity. This means that such risks are preventable when you choose to lower your body weight.

Natural vitamin supplements are the other preferred way of promoting prostate health. Vitamin E, for instance, protects against prostate cancer if taken at a standardized rate daily. In addition, vitamin E can be found in food sources such as peanut butter. Similarly, vitamin C is essential for inhibiting the spread of prostate cancer and can be found in natural sources such as oranges, broccoli, strawberries, and potatoes. Finally, vitamin D is also an essential supplement for protecting one against all types of cancers. Notably, this vitamin is created in the skin during sunlight exposure. Basking is, therefore, a natural way of preventing prostate cancer. I still recommend additional supplementation of vitamin D with K2.

Green tea, which contains Carnivora, Goldenseal, Buchu, and Suma, are just some of the other recommended natural supplements for promoting prostate health. However, it is crucial to seek professional advice on how to consume these natural products.

Some herbal products can be taken every day while others, such as goldenseal, which according to expert views, should not be consumed steadily over a long period of time. Other natural products include modified citrus pectin, pygeum, grape seed products, and turmeric, all of which prevent and reduce the growth of cancerous cells.

In summary, exercising, basking in the sun, staying sexually active, and maintaining a healthy diet are ways of boosting prostate health. Notably, vitamin and dietary supplements and homeopathic products may also boost prostate health if consumed in the recommended ways. Please be sure to consult with a homeopath since there are numerous homeopathic remedies for this condition. Whole-food diets include whole grains, berries, vegetables, and fruits, foods rich in zinc, drinking plenty of water, and cold-pressed organic oils. In addition, abstaining from meat other than grass-fed, alcoholic beverages, coffee, excess dairy products, and caffeine teas. These, among other natural practices, boost prostate health and prevent cancer.

Vitamin C as a Supplement to Prevent Illness

Vitamin C as a Supplement to Prevent Illness

Vitamin C as a Supplement to Prevent Illness 1080 1080 Abbe Lang

Vitamin C supplements are probably the best way to prevent common illnesses like colds and the flu.

However, most people don’t know that Vitamin C supplements can also help with other serious illnesses like cancer, lung disease, and heart disease. In fact, new studies from many of the leading medical institutions in the world continually indicate that Vitamin C, even in low doses, can give your life expectancy a major boost.

Most people may think that they get enough Vitamin C from the foods they eat, like vegetables and fruits, but they don’t. In fact, one-quarter of Americans don’t get the recommended daily amount of 60 milligrams of Vitamin C that their cells need to perform basic bodily functions.

The National Cancer Center urges people to eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables daily, which would supply from 200 to 300 milligrams of Vitamin C, but only 9% of the American population accomplishes this.

Vitamin C supplements are potent, water-soluble antioxidants that trap and disarm free radicals in the watery part of your body’s tissue. Vitamin C supplements also help replenish Vitamin E and help enzymes destroy other free radicals in your system. Free radicals are the toxic molecules that eat away at healthy cells and turn them defective, which over time can cause more serious diseases like cancer.

Over 120 studies show that Vitamin C supplements work as a form of immunization against cancer. It was found that people who consistently took Vitamin C supplements were only half as likely to develop cancer as those who didn’t. Vitamin C supplements were particularly effective on cancers of the stomach, esophagus, pancreas, cervix, rectum, and breast. In one study, doctors recommended taking 2,000 to 3,000 milligrams of Vitamin C supplements per day to effectively prevent cancer. This is far above the suggested daily dose recommended by the National Cancer Center, so anyone attempting this kind of regimen should talk to their doctor first.

Vitamin C supplements taken daily can prevent other kinds of conditions like heart disease.

The correct doses can suppress high blood pressure, raise good-type HDL cholesterol, clean deposits from artery walls, and reduce the chances of heart-attack-inducing vascular spasms.

Vitamin C supplements taken regularly can also reduce breathing problems like asthma, prevent periodontal disease, and improve the immune system.

Improving the immune system is the first thing that comes to mind for most people when they think about taking Vitamin C supplements. Of course, Vitamin C supplements do a great job of this, in addition to working on all the other disorders they prevent. Vitamin C supplements work with your immune system to gear up your body to fight infectious bacteria and viruses. Vitamin C supplements do this by boosting the white blood cells and raising the body’s level of antioxidants. Taking 500 milligrams of Vitamin C supplements per day during flu and cold season may prevent or at least lessen the likelihood of being ill during this time.

Vitamin C supplements work on so many levels to prevent disease.

However, Vitamin C may be plentiful in the foods you eat; it’s really the supplements that put you over the top when it comes to preventing disease and increasing the length and quality of life. Vitamin C supplements have been shown to help people who take them live about 6.3 years longer.

The Way That Your Immune System Protects You

The Way That Your Immune System Protects You 1080 1080 Abbe Lang

Most people understand what their immune system does, protecting your body from outside invaders.  These include germs such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses.  The immune system works by providing a level of immunity to illnesses and diseases to the different organs, cells, and parts of your body.

In this blog post, I will take this a step further than just being aware of what your immune system does to how it actually does it. It is fair to say that most people do not have a clear understanding of precisely how their immune system protects them from viruses.

In its simplest terms, the task of the immune system is to identify those things that naturally belong in the body and those that are foreign or harmful to the body.  The immune system’s job is to neutralize or destroy foreign invaders.

The lymphatic system is very important to your immunity.  This is a system of organs (including the spleen, the thymus, the tonsils, and the lymph nodes) and a fluid called lymph, that circulates through the lymphatic vessels.  Think of your lymph like the sewage system of your body.  It must dump the waste out of your body.  To help your immune system do its job you need to sweat every day in a sauna or exercise.  Jumping on a trampoline is excellent for your lymph.  Berries, melons, and purple grapes are the most detoxifying fruits for the lymph.

Your Immune System will give you a Fever.

Often your immune system will protect you by giving you a fever. You will probably think that having a fever is a bad thing, but the truth is that your immune system giving you a minor fever can help you a lot.

The first thing that your body will do is raise its temperature to try and eliminate the virus; this is because the virus will be unable to survive at high temperatures. This can be quite a dangerous process for you, so it is important that you keep track of your temperature to ensure that it does not get too high.  Most times people will grab a fever reducer at the first sign of a temperature.  This is counterproductive because it drives the virus deeper into the body instead of just letting the body fight off the invading germs.

It responds with White Blood Cells.

When your immune system detects the presence of foreign bodies in your system, it will respond by using white blood cells. Think about white blood cells as your enforcers – their job is to eliminate any harmful microorganisms they discover.

Some of your white blood cells will become attached to these harmful organisms in an attempt to make them weaker. Others will mount a direct attack on the harmful organisms to try and kill them. The best part is that the white blood cells will learn about the organisms they got rid of, enabling you to develop immunity to them in the future.

Inflammation is part of your Immune System.

When people are sick, they will often find that certain areas of their body become inflamed, which is obviously uncomfortable. We all know that inflammation is not a great experience, but it could signify that you have an infection as it is an important part of your immune system.

Once bad bacteria get into your system, they will use your blood vessels to travel around and spread all over. Your immune system can make certain areas of your body inflamed so that it constricts the blood vessels located in that area and makes it harder for the bacteria to spread throughout your body.

When your white blood cells notice this inflammation, they will respond immediately to try and eliminate the harmful bacteria. You probably think that many of the ways your body reacts to sickness are uncomfortable, annoying, and even gross, but this is all part of your immune system protecting you and making you feel better as fast as it can.

Remember to enhance your immune cells you MUST clean up your Lymph! Take the burden off your immune system and give it the capacity to heal anything that may come your way.

Fruit

Fruit removes mucus out of the body.

Fruit removes mucus out of the body. 1080 1080 Abbe Lang

Only foods that are foreign to the human body would cause mucus, and mucus is created from the mucosa to protect tissue and cells due to the acid-ash produced from the starch, proteins, dead animal tissue, and their mucus and pus-filled fluids.

Fruit removes mucus because the fruit is alkaline, astringent, and designed for the human vessel, which means when you start eating foods designed for you, the body wants to dump and get rid of waste.

Mucus in the body blocks the flow and pathways of eliminating metabolic waste.

Mucus locks in metals chemicals and creates a feeding environment for yeast, fungus, and parasites. Mucus cuts off circulation and impairs brain function.

Mucus and acids are the root cause of lymph stagnation, endocrine gland dysfunction, and damages are the elimination organs such as the kidneys, skin, and bowels. You don’t want excess mucus in the body, and a diet of fruit will be effective with pulling it out.

Fruits that do well with pulling out mucus are citrus, grapes, watermelon, and mangoes. Mucus will come out of the nose, ears, mouth, eyes, anus, vaginally, and by urine.

Vegetable matter is not astringent and energetic enough to pull out mucus like the fruits. Still, a strong Chlorophyll-rich green drink does have mucus-pulling abilities, and parasites, worms, fungus, and yeast don’t thrive in an alkaline body and hate the oxygen produced from a green drink.

Salads can act as a broom to loosen up impacted mucus and biofilm on the outer layer of the colon, but the mucus and interstitial waste worked out of the lymphatic system will be pulled out by the fruit and veggies, leafy greens, and green drinks are not going to be strong enough to loosen up any sticky sulfur that may be stagnant in the body from the antibiotic drugs and other foods or products that are heavy in sulfates that have entered the body.

Only you, my friend, can learn for yourself the power of an all-fruit diet when it comes to detoxification and pulling out debris and metabolic waste out of the body. Mucus will come out when you consume energetic electrical foods, and fruit being the highest form of energy and astringency makes it the best source of food to allow the body to drain and pull it out.

Fruits are the cleaners, and they can rebuild you after the body corrects itself from the damage that has been caused by consuming foods that damage it. Acid-forming foods are grains, beans, eggs, all meats, milk, and The starchy potato varieties.

Natural Remedies To Help Prevent Heart Disease

Natural Remedies To Help Prevent Heart Disease

Natural Remedies To Help Prevent Heart Disease 1080 1080 Abbe Lang

Heart disease is now the number-one health threat facing women. However, dozens of studies show that keeping your heart in good shape can be surprisingly easy!

Have a pomegranate shot.

This juice is more effective than red wine at shielding your heart against several different dangers and sipping just 1 oz. each day cuts your risk of dangerous blood clots and your production of bad artery-clogging LDL cholesterol.

Pomegranate gets its power from the same pigments that give it its color, polyphenols, which thin the blood and help your liver break down cholesterol. Pomegranate contains another important nutrient, ellagic acid, which is so great at strengthening two skin-supporting proteins (collagen and elastin), it slows skin aging.

Eat roasted peanuts.

Eating a half-cup of humble peanuts daily proves your heart disease risk will drop. Peanuts are a top source of monounsaturated fats, which your liver needs to make artery-clearing HDL cholesterol.

Get a houseplant.

Just keeping your heart pumping slowly and calmly is enough to lower your lifetime risk of heart disease. Looking at greenery reduces your level of the stress hormone epinephrine, which reduces your heart rate five points or more. Spend several minutes each day strolling in a park or in any other green space, and your heart rate will drop as much as 15 points.

Listen to soft music.

Listening to relaxing background music for 30 minutes twice a day can decrease the number of stress hormones circulating in your system. Keeping your blood pressure in check helps prevent damage to artery walls and reduces plaque buildup, keys to ensuring that nutrient-rich blood flows easily to all your organs, including your heart. Tune your radio to an easy listening station or listen to calming background music for free online.

Up your intake of herbs & spices

Cinnamon, thyme, cayenne, cloves, garlic… Adding any of these to your recipes can transform an “okay” meal into something delicious and cut your heart disease risk. The antioxidants in these flavor enhancers block the formation of harmful inflammation inside blood vessels while also reining in the amount of artery-clogging triglycerides that your liver churns out. The recommended dose: 1-1/2 tsp. Daily.

How To Boost Your Happiness Hormones to Live Longer

How To Boost Your Happiness Hormones to Live Longer

How To Boost Your Happiness Hormones to Live Longer 1080 1080 Abbe Lang

The happiness hormones serotonin and oxytocin don’t only help fight depression. They also cut heart disease, stroke, and Alzheimer’s risk by strengthening arteries, so nutrient-rich blood quickly reaches your organs.

Send some love.

Taking one minute to let someone know that you’re thinking about them can bring about an increase in your oxytocin production

Take a scented soak.

Relaxing in a warm bath scented with rose, vanilla, jasmine, or lavender can keep your blood levels of serotonin and oxytocin elevated by soothing your brain’s anxiety center. And when your brain is relaxed, it needs less serotonin and oxytocin to function, so more of those hormones are available to cells in the rest of your body.

Take 5-HTP.

Taking 100 mg. of 5-HTP increased serotonin levels, improving mood, energy, immunity-and even fat-burning. Want to sleep more deeply? Taking 5-HTP 30 minutes before bedtime can help. Cutting calories a priority? Take 5-HTP 30 minutes before your biggest meal each day.

Consume protein at breakfast.

After a night of not eating, blood levels of amino acids- the building blocks of serotonin and oxytocin- are low. The fix: Eat a meal containing 2 oz. of amino acid-rich protein, such as eggs, meat, or cheese. It’ll rev the enzymes that keep serotonin and oxytocin levels up, cutting your risk of the blues and blood sugar woes 33%.

Eat berries and kale.

Eating two cups each of berries and leafy greens (like kale) weekly could up your serotonin levels. Both foods are rich in anthocyanins, nutrients that encourage your brain to produce and release this “happy” hormone.

Watch TV.

Getting caught up in a fun, romantic, or emotionally gripping program-enough to make you root for one of the characters- will send your oxytocin levels soaring. Your brain processes movies as if they’re happening, and the empathy you feel for a character stimulates oxytocin release.

Natural Remedies To Stop Thinning Hair

Natural Remedies To Stop Thinning Hair

Natural Remedies To Stop Thinning Hair 1920 1080 Abbe Lang

By age 50, two-thirds of us have thinner, more brittle hair. Thankfully, at-home remedies can stop it in its tracks and help reverse it if it’s already occurred! Here’s what may be causing your hair loss and how to fix it.

Wash your hair daily.

When scalp cells absorb testosterone, the waste product produced can damage follicles and trigger male pattern baldness, even among women, research shows. Most women cut back on them as their hair thins, hoping that handling their hairless will help. To fix, first, give your scalp a thorough shampooing daily.

Up your iron intake.

Your ability to absorb iron can plunge after age 55 due to a gradual slowdown in the production of stomach acid and digestive enzymes-and one of the first signs of dipping iron levels in women is all over hair thinning. Eat four oz. of iron-rich beef, chicken liver, shellfish, turkey, chicken, or pork daily paired with something acidic, like tomatoes, bell peppers, strawberries, or orange juice. To maximize the benefit, avoid drinking coffee or tea or consuming calcium-packed dairy with meals containing iron-rich foods.

Lower your stress level.

Try doing 15 minutes of relaxing yoga twice daily. Gentle stretching and rhythmic breathing help reduce the production of hair-wrecking stress hormones for up to 12 hours.

Watch your vitamin A.

You need vitamin A, but taking in more than 40,000 IU daily can trigger patchy hair loss. The ideal dose for vitamin A is 10,000 IU daily, but many multis have 10,000 IU per pill to add up fast. Get it from orange produce (such as carrots, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes) as beta carotene, a building block of vitamin A that is 100% safe.

Get your thyroid checked.

Losing the hair from your scalp and your eyebrows can signal an out-of-whack thyroid. People think they’ll be exhausted or gain weight if their thyroid isn’t functioning well, yet one of the earliest signs of thyroid trouble is often thinning head and eyebrow hair. Treating a sluggish thyroid can reverse hair loss in as little as ten weeks.

Natural Remedies To Help You Avoid Getting Gallstones

Natural Remedies To Help You Avoid Getting Gallstones

Natural Remedies To Help You Avoid Getting Gallstones 1920 1080 Abbe Lang

Gallbladder removal is now one of the most commonly performed surgeries nationwide, and women are twice as likely as men to need it. Women’s bodies have a higher fat content, and fat fuels the creation of gallstones. Here are some Natural Remedies To Help You Avoid Getting Gallstones.

Drink coffee or tea.

Drinking an extra ten oz. of caffeinated black tea or coffee each day can cut your risk of gallstones. Both brews contain plant compounds that, in combination with caffeine, stop cholesterol molecules from clumping in the gallbladder.

And butter to your veggies.

If crystals do form, keeping them small long enough for your gallbladder to remove them is important. Eating two cups of vegetables topped with 1 Tbs. butter or oil daily can help. To maximize this benefit, include 1/2 tsp. of turmeric in your daily diet, or supplement with 500 mg. of curcumin daily. This spice helps flush out gallstones while they’re still as tiny as grains of sand.

Consume coconut oil.

Consuming 1 Tbs. of coconut oil daily sends your risk of gallstones plunging. Coconut oil helps your gallbladder to clear a flood of bile, which sweeps stones out of your system. Coconut oil is great to spread on top of bread or crackers or mixed into rice, oatmeal, and fruit smoothies.

Take curcumin.

Taking a 500-mg. curcumin supplement daily flushes out gallstones before they grow large enough to become a problem. Curcumin helps the gallbladder empty during meals, which keeps bile from pooling and forming clumps.

Eat more lentils & veggies.

Eating 1/2 cup of lentils daily lowers your gallstone risk, and adding an extra cup of vegetables lowers it by another 25%. Both foods are full of soluble fiber and vitamin C, nutrients that reduce gallbladder inflammation, lessening the likelihood of it swelling and clogging.

Snack on nuts.

Adding one oz. of nuts or health nut butters to your daily diet could cut your risk of gallstones. Nuts are loaded with fats that help the gallbladder produce bile properly, so this digestive aid does not form stones.

Have some ACV.

Gallstones start out as tiny crystals, which is why preventing those crystals from forming is crucial. And apple cider vinegar can help. Sipping 1 Tbs. diluted in 8 oz. of water before each meal will stimulate your gallbladder to contract strongly, flushing out bile, a digestive fluid that contains particles from which those crystals can form.

Get your daily C.

A daily 1,000-mg. dose of vitamin C can slash your risk of gallbladder flareups. C reduces swelling inside the gallbladder’s narrow ducts, making it easier for tiny crystals to flow right through instead of getting stuck and causing a painful blockage.

Natural Remedies To Soothe Sore Feet

Natural Remedies To Soothe Sore Feet

Natural Remedies To Soothe Sore Feet 1920 1080 Abbe Lang

Whether it’s your heels, toes, or your arches that are hurting, natural relief is at hand! Check out these natural remedies to soothe sore feet.

Stretch.

If you feel a needle-like pain in your heel whenever you stand, that’s plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is a swelling of the ligament that runs from your heel to the ball of your foot. Before you get out of bed, reach down and lightly pull your toes toward you to stretch your foot. Hold that for 10 seconds, then repeat twice. This stretch eases heel pain within two weeks.

Take B vitamins.

B vitamins keep your nerves healthy and robust. If your levels fall, you can get burning, tingling, and even cutting pains in your feet. Take a B-50 complex supplement daily.

Use a cream that contains urea.

To get rid of those bumps, apply a lotion containing at least 20% urea twice daily. Urea-based lotions soften corns within ten days, triggering an improvement in one month! To speed removal, also buff corns with a pumice stone when the skin is soft after bathing.

Take off your shoes.

Whenever possible, take off your shoes and walk around in socks, slippers, or bare feet. It’s a great way to increase circulation and quickly decrease bunion swelling and pain.

Use wintergreen oil.

Wintergreen oil is full of methyl salicylate, a natural anti-inflammatory that’s readily absorbed through the skin. Try massaging diluted wintergreen oil (six drops mixed with two oz. of any moisturizer) into your feet improves circulation and decreases spasms, ending the pain within five minutes and preventing future flareups if done daily.

Practice cold & hot soaks.

Fill a tub with cold water, the other with hot water. Sit down and dip your feet in the cold water for one minute, then in hot water for one minute; repeat three times.

Heal heal cracks.

Mix five crushed-up aspirin with 1/2 tsp. each lemon juice and water. Spread on your skin; wait 10 minutes, rinse—buff with a pumice stone, and dab on a urea-based cream.

Natural Ways To Take Charge of Your Feminine Health

Natural Ways To Take Charge of Your Feminine Health

Natural Ways To Take Charge of Your Feminine Health 1920 1080 Abbe Lang

It’s smart to keep your uterus and ovaries in top condition so they can continue secreting disease-fighting proteins! Here are some great ways for you to Take Charge of Your Feminine Health in a natural way.

Eat fish.

Eating six oz. of any fish, three times a week lowers your risk of uterine or ovarian cancer. Fish’s omega-3 fatty acids are proven to enhance your immune system’s ability to kill cancerous cells before they can grow and spread.

Consume lots of green veggies.

Fibroids, benign uterine tumors, are the top cause of hysterectomies. But you can decrease your risk just by eating 1-1/2 cups of green vegetables a day. Natural plant compounds called isoflavonoids to assist your liver in quickly pass excess estrogen.

Take vitamin D.

The second most common cause of hysterectomies is severe menstrual cramping and heavy bleeding. Taking 2,000 IU of vitamin D-3daily can lower your risk of painful periods.

Drink coffee or tea.

Drinking three cups of coffee or four cups of tea daily can lower your risk of uterine and ovarian troubles. Both are full of tissue-nourishing compounds that rev your defenses against gynecologic cancers, fibroids, and other hormone-triggered woes.

Get enough dairy.

Adding a serving of dairy to your daily diet, that’s, one cup of milk, yogurt, or cottage cheese or 1-1/2 oz. of hard cheese, can reduce your risk of developing endometriosis. Dairy’s balanced blend of calcium, protein, and milk fats helps the uterine lining grow and normally shed each month so that excess tissue doesn’t build up in the pelvic area of women who are still menstruating.

Walk every day.

Getting 20 minutes of exercise a day will ease your symptoms and cut your risk of gynecologic cancers. Exercise increases blood flow to and from the pelvis, flushing away pain-triggering that can fuel the growth of fibroids, endometriosis, and cancers Prostaglandin hormones. It also reduces estrogen production.

Take probiotics.

Probiotic supplements not only help prevent yeast infections. Taking Lactobacillus gasseri helps protect against endometriosis. The same probiotic can decrease related pelvic pain, backache, and other symptoms in three months.

Get your greens.

Studies show that eating a cup a day of spinach or another dark leafy green cuts fibroid risk. Isoflavonoids in greens help your liver eliminate the excess estrogen that feeds fibroids. Taking 2,000 IU of vitamin D daily turns off enzymes that rev fibroid growth, shrinking small ones.

Eat more nuts.

Eating two cups of nuts a week lowers your breast cancer risk, and it reduces your risk of benign breast disease-noncancerous lumps. Nuts have minerals and plant fats that stimulate breast cells to divide normally.

Have a berry smoothie.

Eating three cups of fresh or frozen berries weekly can cut your risk of uterine cancer. The fiber in berries blocks the absorption of uterus-damaging carcinogens in the digestive tract. The colors in the berries enhance the ability of white blood cells to kill precancerous growths. Eating berries helps stop menopausal brain fog and slows skin aging.
